Regan Vreeland

I've spent my career establishing where things stand physically in the built environment. Now I bring that discipline to the systems being built on top.

Project manager and site due-diligence lead for AI data center and power infrastructure. Twenty-seven years in the field, the last several spent turning analog operations into fully digital ones.

About

01 — Background

I'm a California-licensed Professional Land Surveyor with 27+ years leading infrastructure and geospatial projects — the last two years focused on site due diligence for AI data centers and power infrastructure. I currently serve as Survey Manager at TRC Companies, where I lead feasibility assessments for hyperscale data center construction across transmission, battery storage, and solar sites. I also founded and run Symmetry Land Survey, a multi-office firm I rebuilt from a paper-based operation into a fully digital business.

What I'm looking for now: a remote role in project management, product management, or business development at a technology or infrastructure company, where the same rigor I've applied to physical sites can be applied to digital systems and client relationships.

Site due diligence for AI data center & power infrastructure

TRC Companies & Jacobs — Aug 2024–Present / May 2023–May 2024

Problem

Hyperscale data center and power projects need rigorous site feasibility — utility pipelines, transmission lines, grid interconnection, BESS, and solar — verified before construction can begin.

Approach

Lead technical due diligence and ALTA/NSPS surveys, own budget across concurrent site assessments, and coordinate subcontractor teams across disciplines and schedules.

Outcome

Reliable, on-schedule feasibility data supporting development timelines for AI infrastructure clients and major utility partners including SoCalGas, SCE, and PG&E.

Taking Symmetry Land Survey fully digital

Founder & Principal, Symmetry Land Survey — Mar 2020–Present

Problem

The firm ran on analog, paper-based workflows — quoting, invoicing, scheduling, and lead intake were all handled manually, capping how much the business could grow.

Approach

Designed and built an integrated software stack from scratch: Pipedrive for CRM, Cloudflare Workers and Formspree for automated lead capture and routing, Cal.com for client booking, and Paycove for invoicing.

Outcome

A digitally-run, multi-office operation serving all 58 California counties, with automated intake freeing up time for business development instead of manual admin.
